The Teeling Whiskey Co. is the heir to an ancient dynasty of Irish distillers, the Teeling, active in the industry since 1782. The company is now run by brothers Jack and Stephen Teeling, who until recently held top positions in the Cooley Distillery, before the latter was sold to the US group Jim Beam.
