Crossroads between Marche, Umbria and Tuscany, refuge over the centuries of all civilizations, the town of Apecchio – along its roads traced by the ancient Piceni – has seen the Celts, the Umbrians, the Etruscans, the Romans, and in times closer to us the officials and messengers of the Papal States.
Located at 493 meters above sea level, in the heart of an area characterized by wide meadows and large wooded extensions, Apecchio is dominated by the bulk of Monte Nerone, from which abundant and pure running waters flow. For this reason, in recent years, some high-level craft breweries have settled in Aspecchio, which have made the Marche town an authentic capital of quality Italian beer.
Also in Apecchio, the "Apecchio Città della Birra" Association has opened its headquarters, which aims to enhance the entire local beer supply chain, the development of "alogastronomia" (ie the correct combination of craft beer and typical products of the table) and the promotion of the integrated territorial identity of the area.
From the ancient dialect name of the Municipality takes its name APEC, the craft beer of Apecchio.
